ITS Directorate

As contractually agreed, the ICRC appoints a Swiss citizen as Director, who acts in accordance with ICRC instructions. Reto Meister has held the position of Director since December 2006.

ITS International Commission

On May 16, 2006, the eleven member states of the International Commission agreed to open the ITS archive for historical research. On 28th November 2007, all eleven member states had ratified the amended Agreements. The archives are open to the public for research pupose now.
