What can be researched?

From a research perspective, ITS is an unparalleled archive of documents on victims of the NS regime waiting to be discovered. The archive documents the details of the inhuman Nazi persecution and provides information on the systematically organised Nazi extermination policies. An inventory of important sources on abduction, expulsion and migration during and after World War II is also stored in Bad Arolsen.

ITS Library

In the Research Department, a library is open to ITS visitors. It currently holds around 4,000 books. In addition to this there is a stock of roughly 60 different magazines and yearbooks.

Reading Room for Visitors

A reading room is available to researchers who want to look into ITS documents. It is presently equipped with ten workstations, each with a computer. Most of the documents archived at ITS can be viewed in a database.
