Timeline of NS Terror

The archives of the International Tracing Services (ITS) hold documents from the Nazi era and immediate post-war period. These files provide information on the scale of persecution, exploitation through forced labour and the wave of emigration NS terror triggered. The timeline presents a compact overview of the most important events in these areas.

Anniversaries of Nazi Persecution

The ramifications of NS policies and ideology are still clearly felt even more than 60 years after the end of World War II. Historical debates and the remembrance of victims are an important concern when it comes to highlighting the relevance of defending democracy, protecting minorities and observing human rights – both for today and for future generations. For the occasion of specific anniversaries, ITS historian Dr Susanne Urban compiles continually updated background information about the individual stages of NS persecution.
