Who can research the archives?

On May 14, 2007, the International Commission of ITS adopted the following “Regulations for Access to the Documents and Archives preserved by the International Tracing Service in Bad Arolsen”:

“Survivors and the families of victims have full access to documents directly related to their own fate. They are invited to contact ITS to arrange a visit to the archives.”

The general public has been granted access for research purposes as of 28th November 2007. All of the eleven member states has ratified the amended Bonn Agreement. Anyone wishing to gain access should fill out a research request.
