The main focus – to this day

The main focus of ITS activity has always been the tracing service. When the borders were opened in 1989, this service experienced an enormous increase in inquiries, keeping the focus on tracing missing persons to this day.

A Heartfelt Wish Fulfilled

Finding out more about the fate of loved ones is a moving experience, not only for the relatives of the victims. Who can the ITS help?

The International Tracing Service cannot provide information or confirmation reports in every case. Some inquiries must be made to other authorities and institutions.
